Preparing for promotion requires precision, experience, and an understanding of current service regulations. Tin Trousers provides specialist striping up services completed in-house using traditional techniques and materials.
Every striping up order is completed in-house by experienced military tailors using traditional techniques, quality materials, and current service regulations.
From hand sewn sleeve stripes to rank slides and boards, our team understands the importance of presentation, accuracy, and reliable turnaround when preparing for promotion or ceremonial duties.
Replacing all lace with new 2% gold lace and rerank. Standard turnaround time is up to 4 weeks. If you require a faster turnaround options available:

Uniforms booked for Striping up/Alteration will need to be dropped with us at Tin Trousers HQ, in one of our secure locker in HMS Nelson Wardroom, or during our onsite visits. Please ensure you have labelled the uniforms for drop off with your contact details if leaving in the locker in HMS Nelson.
